By the numbers
2010 has come and gone but with the same results. The fires have
continued throughout the city. SILVER LINING OUTREACH has
monitored and responded to the residential fires each year. New York
City had more than 2000 fires across the five boroughs. During the
holidays, New York City had to suffer through the HOTTEST month in
three years with more than 240 residential fires.

The mission of SILVER LINING OUTREACH is to provide humanitarian
assistance to families who become displaced by fire. We saw that
mission accomplished. We know that we can improve on that mission
by serving more families for 2011. This year brings new partnerships
throughout the city that will help provide the extended services to
affected families.

SILVER LINING OUTREACH recognizes the need for a pro-active
response within the city. In 2010, the funding received from State
Senator, Eric Adams has allowed for more families to be serviced.
