FACTS ABOUT FIRES IN THE BRONX
In 2009, there have been more than 430 different residential fires that
took place in the Bronx. Approximately 450 families were affected. The
Bronx also has more apartment buildings than it has space. A fire in the
city has more affect on multiple families due to the housing
developments layout. The Bronx averages one residential fire each day
in the first 15 days of 2010.
