SILVER LINING OUTREACH has the unique
opportunity to bring a little piece of comfort to families
in their unfortunate ordeal. Along with the Red Cross,
we are their to provide, give and support families who
become displaced.
This fire was a major five alarm fire that has displaced
about 25 families. In this case, not like many others,
the fire affected multiple families.
The good thing is that there were no injuries to any
residents. A few Fire Fighters were hospitalized due to
smoke inhalation. The families were put up in a
temporary shelter at PS 375,The Jackie Robinson
School. As many resources were utilized to provide
assistance to these families.
Senator Eric Adams has stepped up the campaign to
ensure that fires from landlord negligence can be
resolved before they happen.
