Over the past four years, SILVER LINING OUTREACH has serviced the
New York City area. Starting in 2008, we have monitored more than
8,500 residential fires. The astounding fact about fires in New York City
is that the 8,500 fires do not include the commercial and brush fires.
Our concerns are the families who are immediately affected.
In the last two years, we began to monitor residential fire along the
north east coast of New jersey and Nassau County Long Island. Fire is
a devastating event. News 12, ABC, CBS and other news outlets cover
the breaking news throughout the east coast. The results are all the
same, FIRE that destroys and displaces families. SILVER LINING
OUTREACH recognizes the need and provides a pro-active response
to families who become displaced by fire. So far for 2010, the North
East Region has seen its share of fires. Within our monitoring range,
there have been a staggering amount of 3 alarm fires.
The primary mission of SILVER LINING OUTREACH is to provide
humanitarian assistance to families who become displaced by fire in
New York City area. The more funding received, allows us to spread
our services to the neighboring communities. Fire has no boarders or
restrictions when it decides to strike. SILVER LINING OUTREACH
prepares for the frequency of fire and responds.
