FACTS ABOUT FIRES IN STATEN ISLAND
Of the five boroughs, Staten Island has the fewest amount of fires. For
the popolation size and geographical location of the island, fire has a
major impact just as the other boroughs.

In 2008, Staten Island had a liitle more than 100 residential fires. For the
size, the number is high. SILVER LINING OUTREACH responds to the
need in each community.  On average, the island has about 8 fires a
month compared to 65 in Brooklyn. That does not changed the severity
of the need for our services.

SILVER LINING OUTREACH urges families to pay more attention to
details during the coming winter months. FIRE does not take a summer
vacation or a winter break. We do not either. Through
"THE
F.I.R.E CLASS" you can get the vital information regarding
insurance that so many families neglect to have.
